KACHAKANTI MANDIR is a temple located in the outskirts of the town on way towards the Airport Road. Beautifully located in the outskirts, it has a clean environment around. "Kachakanti" Devi is said to be the amalgamation of two powerful Hindu deity; Maa Durga and Maa Kali. Built in the early 1800s, human sacrifices were made in early days at the time of the Kachari kings. This Mandir was established long back by the kachari kings and recenthy was remodelled and made into a beautiful structure. during the hindu bweeding season many couples from nearby areas get married almost on all dates of the marraige ceremonies.
